PTR's Level 1 Instructor Certification is designed as the starting point for part-time coaches, volunteer coaches, new professionals and college players. This is the ideal course for coaches working under a program director assisting in the delivery of sessions.
The PTR Level 1 Certified Tennis Instructor course is your entry point for coaches looking for a foundation and to develop essential coaching fundamentals. The Certified Instructor virtual course consists of online education, interactive virtual class discussions and practical application assessments. This course will cover skills needed when coaching juniors to adult athletes and be an immersion of learning in key elements to improve coaching knowledge, skills and behaviors.
Coaches pursuing the Tennis Instructor Certification will be required to complete the Level 1 curriculum and assessments.
Level 1 Online Instructor Certification is only available for coaches outside the U.S.A.
After passing all necessary tests you will receive the Level 11-17 Junior Development Certification.
